CONSULTATIONS
Getting a chance to know your potential doulas is an important part of finding the right fit for your birth experience. It’s so important we believe it’s worth taking the time to meet with several doulas to find the best match for your family. Your doula should feel like someone you’d grab coffee with—someone you trust, who’s both kind and professional. To make this process easier for you, we offer a free consultation in the Wake Forest area, or a virtual meeting if that’s more convenient for your schedule. We want to make it easy for you to ask us all your questions about birth, hear about our perspectives as doulas, and chat about anything else on your mind (we’re always happy to talk about our latest fiction book recommendations too!)
DOULA PACKAGE
We believe that birth is not just a physical experience, but a holistic journey, involving the mind, heart, and body. We have designed our doula package to reflect these beliefs. Below is a helpful guide to understand what our support looks like as Golden Hour client.
As a part of this Doula Package, our client families receive our step-by-step workbook, designed to guide you through this season with confidence. The workbook will facilitate our prenatal meetings which are designed to be a relaxed yet thorough conversation. We’ll begin building our team dynamic and discuss your birth preferences. You’ll learn gentle, practical techniques that support optimal positioning for your baby during pregnancy and birth—movements and positions that create space and balance, supporting both your body and your baby. We’ll also take time to reflect on your hopes, expectations, and any fears you may have, so that we can tailor our approach to supporting you through labor. By the end, you’ll feel confident in your birth choices, equipped for clear communication with your care providers, and practical comfort techniques for labor. Most importantly, you’ll have established a foundation of trust between us that will support you every step of the way. This meeting will set the stage for a beautiful, positive birth experience as we prepare to welcome your baby together.

BODY READY ASSESSMENTS
Pregnancy is a huge physical feat, yet most are not given the tools they need to appropriately and adequately support their body through this process. These 1:1 assessments allow us to discuss your individual needs and goals for your pregnancy and birth prep, after which we curate a program of corrective exercises. These tools are designed to hopefully minimize or even eliminate symptoms and dysfunction that we are often told are “just a normal part of pregnancy”. They can also prepare your body for a more efficient birth and a smoother postpartum recovery.
